Analysis of The Barriers for Implementing Cleaner Production in Kampung Batik of Semarang City Using Interpretive Structural Modeling Approach. Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) batik is the most important production activities in several cities in Indonesia, these activities pose a serious problem to the environment, especially in Kampung Batik of Semarang City. Implementation of Cleaner Production (CP), can prevent and minimize waste throughout the production process. The main aim of this paper is to determine the most influental barrier and draw up proposals on realizing CP in Kampung Batik Semarang. Respondents in this study is the Department of Industry and Trade of the city, the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of Semarang City, the Environment Agency (BLH) of Semarang City, academic environment, the chairman and managing cluster batik Kampung Batik of Semarang City. ISM method is used to determine the most influential barrier, while the Delphi method used to establish the proposed recommendation. Based on the results of the most influential factors barriers is the lack of knowledge of SMEs against the risk of the use of chemicals hazardous and toxic materials and low awareness of the SMEs of the economic benefits and environmental benefits from the implementation of cleaner production. The proposed recommendation proposed was a campaign of CP, CP socialization, training CP, the construction of an integrated production, socialization Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), the construction of the WWTP, socialization of production waste utilization and checking the levels of waste in the laboratory on a regular basis.
